A route that captures the very essence of the Fano area, linking the Adriatic coast with the gentle hills of the hinterland on a journey through nature, history and charming villages.

Starting from Fano, the route winds through coastal scenery and quiet country lanes, passing through the picturesque landscapes of Cartoceto, renowned for its PDO extra virgin olive oil; Mombaroccio, with its enchanting medieval village; Colli al Metauro, in the heart of the valley shaped by the historic Metauro River; and Fossombrone, a town rich in Roman and Renaissance heritage. The route then continues towards San Costanzo and Mondolfo, two panoramic hilltop villages overlooking the Adriatic coast and offering wonderful views out to sea.

With gentle climbs, vineyards, olive groves, historic villages and peaceful, low-traffic roads, every turn of the pedals reveals an authentic landscape that is constantly changing, from beaches and rolling hills to beautifully preserved historic centres.

From Mondolfo, the route descends towards Marotta, where it joins the Adriatic Cycle Route. From here, the return journey to Fano follows the coastline along a pleasant, flat stretch, providing the perfect way to finish the ride amid beaches, seafront promenades and sweeping views of the Adriatic.
