A stage that begins with the scent of the sea and the silence of the hills, passing suspended villages and white roads, and ending with its gaze turned towards the Adriatic, where it all began.
The Strade di Marca starts from Civitanova Marche, following a section of the Ciclovia Adriatica. The city has two faces: the lively one of the coastline and the more intimate and evocative one of Civitanova Alta.
You leave the sea and climb gently through the hills towards Morrovalle, a village overlooking the valley, with a centre built around a medieval structure. Further on, Potenza Picena can be recognised from afar by its harmonious profile: a treasure trove of art and architecture looking down as far as the sea. The route alternates between asphalt and dirt roads, following the contours of the countryside. The Conero appears on the horizon a sign that we are heading back to the coast. Before reaching Ancona, you pass through Numana and Sirolo, overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
The Conero cycle path leads to Ancona, where the view of the harbour and the cathedral of San Ciriaco bring the stage to a close.
