ShareSTAGE 4: Fano to Genga

A stage that changes look and direction: from the beaches, inland where the landscape becomes more intimate and wild. Silent hills and hidden marvels, in the most authentic heart of Le Marche.

This stage marks a departure from the coast, entering the heart of the Marche hinterland. You set off from Fano, leaving the sea behind and waving goodbye to the Arch of Augustus, continuing through soft hills and silent countryside. The route passes through quiet villages and valleys, where nature dominates, inviting a more attentive and reflective pace. A gradual, but continuous climb, with gradually wilder, more evocative landscapes. Finally we come to Genga, a gem in the Sentino gorges, gateway to the Frasassi caves, one of the most spectacular karst complexes in Europe. The village, with its castle, museum and narrow streets, introduces an almost mystical atmosphere.
The stage ends with an unmissable diversion: the Valadier Temple, built inside a natural cave, offers one of the trip’s most spiritual, unforgettable experiences.
