A stage that alternates hills, art villages and spectacular landscapes: you go down, you go up, you discover. Among ancient alleys, ceramics, murals and vineyards, the journey charts a course of beauty and memory.
The stage starts in Cingoli with a long descent that provides a light start. The ride is pleasant, and accompanies the cyclist as far as Montefano, a high-altitude village with a charming centre and the small La Rondinella theatre. We continue to Appignano, home of the ‘coccià’ potters and legumes, celebrated every year with Leguminaria. Then Treia, elegant and fortified, known for the Disfida del Bracciale and its scenic square. The slopes increase: a steady climb up to Elcito, a stone village nicknamed “the Tibet of the Marche”, suspended between rock and sky. From here the descent begins, with a scenic stretch to Braccano, famous for its colourful murals. The arrival in Matelica takes you through vineyards and hills: here Verdicchio is culture and the historic centre welcomes you with its harmonious square. Another day’s travel comes to a close, as we await the next turn.
