ShareSTAGE 9: Sarnano to Corridonia

A stop in the most authentic heart of Le Marche, amidst industrious hills, and villages and towns that guard the soul of the land. Here, every street speaks the language of everyday life, with art, work and landscapes that taste like home.

After the thrills of high altitude, the route returns to the hills, but certainly not to the plains. The initial climb leads to Penna San Giovanni, a silent hilltop village with one of the smallest wooden theatres in the Marche region. After the descent, you reach Falerone, where the remains of ancient Falerio Picenus emerge from the agricultural landscape. Then it’s on to Montegiorgio, with its elegant centre, Alaleona Theatre, and Pincio belvedere, overlooking the Sibillini Mountains.
Mogliano surprises with a masterpiece by Lorenzo Lotto and traditional authentic wickerwork. The landscape then opens up towards the Fiastra Abbey Reserve, immersed in silence and Cistercian spirituality. The ride continues gently to Petriolo, where life flows slowly among quiet squares and shops, in a simple, wholesome atmosphere. It ends in Corridonia, a lively and welcoming town, closing the stage with the metaphysical flavour of its large square, dedicated to Filippo Corrido
