ShareTappa 3 - Da Senigallia a Fano

A stage that slows time and follows the line of the sea, between golden sands, cycle paths and salty breezes. An invitation to breathe, observe and let yourself be lulled by the gentle Marche coastline.

After the first two most intense stages, the journey slows to embrace the relaxed pace of the coast. It starts in Senigallia, next to the Rotonda a Mare and the pale sand of the Spiaggia di Velluto. A shorter stage, perfect to leave some of the tiredness behind. The route, almost all on cycle paths, follows the sea past palm trees, colourful cabins and boats in the marinas. The pace becomes gentler, the road is smooth, designed for those who want to stop for a coffee, looking out at the sea or taking a short diversion to the shoreline. Next is Fano, which welcomes the traveller with its cosy elegance, seafront promenade, and the outline of the old town behind it. Known as the city of Vitruvius, Fano has important Roman remains. The stage ends amidst the scents of the sea and golden light. Tomorrow, it is back to climbs, but for now, it’s smooth going.
Those who still have legs and the wish to go further, the cycle path continues to Pesaro.
