Leaving Matelica, you pedal through golden fields and vineyards, crossing small roads and silent villages. A varied route with ups and downs, but always pleasant. The arrival in San Severino Marche is an elegant surprise: Piazza del Popolo welcomes with its harmonious arcades and refined atmosphere. A break here is a must. Enjoy a coffee with a view and breathe in the beauty. As we set off again, the landscape opens up and the difference in altitude is felt, but never to excess. Just before Tolentino, the Castello della Rancia appears, with its crenellated towers, moat and intact walls: a medieval jewel nestled in the countryside. Tolentino offers a rich, lively centre, with the Basilica of San Nicola, custodian of art and spirituality. The stage ends with tired legs and a heart full of emotion.
