Magliano di Tenna

The village

It is a village which keeps all the medieval town characteristics: the boundary wall, the towers, and the block of houses facing the quiet alleys. We suggest stopping just before the boundary wall, in front of the panoramic viewpoint in piazzale Fidanza if you travel by bus. Walking up the ramp you get into the village square: on the left there is the Parish Church of St Gregory the Great (1), and in the ancient tower, recently restored, the new Museum of Rural Life (2). Then, through a typical alley you can reach the tower da Bora (3) on the north-west side, the ancient castle entrance.
Leaving the Castle and moving towards the provincial road you arrive at the Church of Mary of the Graces (4). In the town commercial area you can find the Church of St. Philip (5) that replaces an ancient fortress.
